Saving Lives, One Song at a Time

Lost Voices is a group of professional musicians who use the power of songwriting to bring hope and healing to kids who have experienced significant emotional trauma. Over the years our work has touched the lives of more than 2,500 young people struggling to find a healthy place for themselves in the world.

OUR FOUNDER IS A CNN HERO!

CNN bills their Heroes program as “Everyday people changing the world.” This honor has brought international recognition to Lost Voices, opening doors for our teams to change the lives of many more kids who need us. Mike’s Hero video below explains our process beautifully in just a little over six minutes, and lets you see the smiles of some of the kids we’ve worked with. This was shot at a concert that featured some of the incredible young women we worked with. They performed their song, “Destination,” with the help of Jen Cass, Eric Janetsky, Kitty Donohoe, and Lost Voices founder Mike Ball.

Shot at the Adrian Girl’s Training School in 2007, this PBS interstitial piece was produced by Michigan Television, in partnership with Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
